Frequently Asked Questions.

Everything founders ask before working with us — answered honestly.

Every project at Build Me App is led by Imran Salahuddin, our Founder and CEO, who serves as your strategic lead and primary point of contact throughout the engagement. Your build is executed by a dedicated development team that includes a lead developer, supporting engineers, and a QA engineer assigned specifically to your project. We're happy to introduce you to your team before you sign anything — just ask.
We'll be upfront about this: our engineering team is based in Pakistan, while our strategy, product, and client management operate out of Toronto, Canada, with a US office in Frisco, Texas. This is a deliberate model — it lets us combine North American product thinking and communication standards with highly skilled, cost-efficient engineering talent. Every team member is vetted, works exclusively on Build Me App projects, and is managed directly by our Toronto leadership. You get the accountability of a local partner with the efficiency of a global team.
Your primary point of contact — Imran — is based in Toronto and available during EST business hours. For day-to-day development, our Pakistan team begins their day while you're wrapping up yours, which means progress happens overnight and you wake up to updates. We use structured async communication (Slack, Notion, or your preferred tool) with daily written updates and weekly video check-ins. For urgent issues, Imran is your direct escalation point during Toronto hours.
We run a limited number of active projects at any given time to protect quality and focus. Your lead developer will not be spread across more than two projects simultaneously. We'll be transparent about our current workload before you commit — if we're at capacity, we'll tell you rather than overpromise.
Your build will be led by a senior or mid-senior developer with a minimum of three years of production experience. Junior team members may support on specific tasks but will not own critical architecture or feature development. We're happy to share the LinkedIn profiles of your assigned team before the engagement begins.

Client identities are kept confidential, but the work speaks for itself — and we're happy to discuss specifics on a call.
Absolutely. We'll connect you with founders who've built MVPs with us — by phone, not just email. We'd rather you hear it from them than take our word for it.
Our portfolio spans HealthTech, Fintech, B2B SaaS & AI, On-Demand & Delivery, Entertainment, Consumer & Wellness, PropTech, and Nonprofit. Tell us what you're building and we'll point you to the closest relevant case study.
Every engagement is scoped in writing before work begins. Depending on your package, this typically includes discovery and strategy, UX/UI design, front-end and back-end development, QA testing, and App Store or Play Store submission. You'll receive a detailed scope document — not a vague estimate — so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Only changes outside the agreed scope do. If you want to add a feature, modify a flow, or expand the product after the scope is locked, we'll give you a written change request with a cost and timeline estimate before any additional work begins. Nothing gets added to your bill without your explicit approval.
We structure payments around deliverables, not arbitrary dates. A typical MVP engagement is split across three to four milestones — an initial deposit to begin, payments tied to design completion, development completion, and final delivery. We do not require a majority of payment upfront.
You do — fully and permanently. Full IP and source code ownership transfers to you upon final payment. This is written into every contract we sign. You'll also receive access to all repositories, assets, and documentation at handover.
QA is handled by a dedicated team member — not the same developer who wrote the code. We run functional testing, regression testing, and device compatibility checks before any milestone is signed off. For client-facing releases, we conduct a formal UAT (user acceptance testing) phase where you validate the build before it goes live.
Every project includes a 60-day post-launch warranty period covering bug fixes at no additional cost. After that, we offer ongoing maintenance and support packages if you want us to stay involved. We're not a build-and-disappear shop — most of our clients continue working with us after launch.
Critical bugs — anything that breaks core functionality — are responded to within 4 business hours during our warranty period. We'll define severity levels and response time commitments in your contract so there's no ambiguity.
We build realistic timelines with buffer built in, and we've maintained a strong on-time delivery record. That said, if a delay occurs on our end, we'll communicate it proactively — not after the fact — and adjust the project plan at no additional cost to you. We're happy to discuss milestone accountability terms during contracting.
Yes — SEO, paid search, social media management, and go-to-market strategy are all services we offer. We're more established in product development than marketing, and we'll be honest with you about that. If your marketing needs are complex or highly specialized, we'll tell you — and we'd rather refer you to the right partner than overpromise on our end.
You own everything built to that point — code, designs, and documentation. Our contract includes a clear exit clause: if you choose to end the engagement, any completed milestones are yours, and we'll do a proper handover to you or your next team. We've never had a client leave midway, but we believe you should know exactly what that scenario looks like before you sign.
No project we've shipped has failed to launch. We've had projects that required course corrections, scope adjustments, or difficult conversations — that's honest. What we've never done is ghost a client, leave a build incomplete, or walk away from a problem. If something goes wrong, Imran is personally involved in resolving it.
We are not currently BBB registered — as a young, fast-growing company, our reputation has been built through verified third-party platforms like Clutch, GoodFirms, and DesignRush. We carry general liability insurance and are happy to provide documentation upon request. Professional liability (E&O) insurance is something we are actively working to put in place.
